Sponsorship Applications under current Points Test -<br />

&nbsp; &nbsp; this means that your online sponsorship application and supporting documents should be submitted to and registered by Immigration SA before 5pm (Adelaide local time) on Monday 2 May 2011.<br />
&nbsp; &nbsp; please be aware that the Online Application Systemwill be closed at 5pm (Adelaide local time) on Monday 2 May 2011. If your application is received after that time, it will not be processed.<br />
&nbsp; &nbsp; Immigration SA will endeavour to finalise applications received by the May deadline before 1 July 2011, to enable you to lodge your visa application with DIAC under the current Points Test. Please check theOnline Client Tracking Systemfor results, which will be available as soon as a decision is made on your application.<br />
<br />
&nbsp; &nbsp; all applications will be processed in order of receipt of complete documentation. Please be aware that due to the anticipated volume of applications, Immigration SA cannot guarantee that all applications will be finalised before 1 July 2011.<br />
&nbsp; &nbsp; you should also be aware that there are Planning Levels for all occupations on the current State Sponsored Migration List. Once the Planning Level for a specific occupation has been reached, that occupation will no longer be available for sponsorship. This means that applications already submitted for that occupation will not proceed<br />
&nbsp; &nbsp; to be considered under the current Points Test, you need to lodge your visa application with DIAC before 1 July 2011; otherwise your visa application will be assessed against the new Points Test and criteria.<br />
&nbsp; &nbsp; once details of South Australia’s Sponsorship criteria for 2011-2012 have been finalised, the Online Application System will be reopened.<br />
&nbsp; &nbsp; please regularly check the Immigration SA website for updated information.<br />

31 March 2011- Planning levels exist for all occupations. Immigration SA would like to advise that the following occupation has reached its planning levels for the 2010-11 Program Year. The South Australian Government is pleased to announce the signing of the State Migration Plan (SMP) with the Federal Minister for Immigration and Citizenship.<br />
This formal agreement covers state sponsorship of skilled migrants to South Australia under the Skilled - Sponsored (176 and 886) and Skilled - Regional Sponsored (475 and 487) visas.<br />
Applications for South Australian Government state sponsorship under the State Migration Plan will commence from the date of this announcement.<br />
<br />
&nbsp; &nbsp; The State Sponsored Migration List (SSML) indicates the occupations available for sponsorship under the SMP during the remainder of the 2010/11 program year.<br />
&nbsp; &nbsp; Applicants must have an occupation that is available on the SSML as well as meetALL other criteria.<br />
<br />
Under the agreement there is an overall cap on the total number of grants each year.<br />
For 2010-11 South Australian’s cap is 4,890 visa grants, which includes primary and secondary applicants.<br />
To assist with managing to the visa grant cap, the number of skilled migrants that the South Australian Government will sponsor against each occupation listed on the State Sponsorship Migration Lists is limited by a planning level.<br />
<br />
&nbsp; &nbsp; When an occupation on the SSML reaches it’s planning level, its status will shift from "Available" to "Not Available".<br />
&nbsp; &nbsp; This means that no NEW applications will be accepted but for sponsorship applications that have already been approved and submitted to DIAC, will receive priority processing.<br />
&nbsp; &nbsp; However, occupations listed as “Not Available” will be available to Onshore applicants who meet the same criteria listed under the Off List sponsorship criteria.<br />
