7:00pm更新：今晚的游行将在烟熏仪式（Smoking Ceremony）结束后正式开始，率先进场的仍是Dykes on Bikes，紧随其后的方阵则是First Nations Community Float，以及78ers。
与此同时，大批民众也已赶到道路两盘，翘首期盼待会儿的狂欢节大游行。

6:35pm更新：68岁的Angela Korte和71岁的Daphne McDonald在Oxford St附近接受采访时表示，这是她们第九次参加狂欢节，两人特意穿上红色服装，并佩戴珍珠饰品。
虽然两人都不是LGBTQ群体的成员，但Korte表示，她们在狂欢节上总是受到热情的欢迎。

游行队伍将于今晚7点从Oxford St出发，经由Flinders St前往Moore Park，整个狂欢过程将持续4小时。
第47届同性恋狂欢节大游行的主题为“自由本色”（Free To Be），主办方将通过今年的活动展现LGBTQIA+平权运动所取得的成就。
报道指出，由于去年的活动参与人数仅为12万（预期人数为25万），且2023-24财年出现了120万澳元的运营亏损，所以主办方在今年准备了“精简版”游行。
据估计，今年的同性恋狂欢节大游行将有25万名观众，参与者高达1万人，今晚还将有180辆彩车出现在悉尼街头。
