<strong>ROLE</strong>
My client, Australia’s Leading Asian Food and Grocery importer, exporter & distributer, is seeking a Sales Manager to lead their sales team.
<strong>Business Development & Strategy</strong>
· Drive sales by developing strategic direction, long & short term objectives for your accounts;
· Develop new business by identifying opportunities with existing accounts and seeking new accounts venturing into untapped market segments;
· Analyse and monitor competitor activities as well as product, market and industry trends to ensure the company is maintaining a competitive edge;
<strong>Sales Forecast & Planning</strong>
· Prepare & monitor budgets, liaise with buyers and analyse sales statistics to forecast sales targets and consumer trends;
· Monthly sales reporting on revenue and margin performance;
· Regular communication of progress and reporting sales performance to the National Sales Manager;
<strong>Account/ CRM</strong>
· Support and closely manage relationships with key customer accounts and build relationships based on reliability, friendship and customer service;
· Develop strong partnership with both Progressive and Foodstuff store operations to maximise volume sales pull through;
Manage aspects of major accounts as category reviews/ development, new line presentation, promotional planning, increase shelf share etc.
<strong>Marketing & Promotions</strong>
· Develop & implement annual sales & marketing strategies and programs (eg. Woolworths, Bidvest, PFD), promotional activities and material to drive sales volume;
· Represent the company in trade events, promotional events & activities.
<strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong>
· Minimum 7 years sales experience in the food industry, with 3 years in a managerial role;
· Excellent verbal & written communication, negotiation, time management and organisational skills;
· Effective problem solving skills with the capability of developing solutions to increase efficiency & improve service delivery to customers;
· Experience in working with buyers at a corporate level and have the flexibility to relate to SME's;
· Strong people management and effective leadership skills;
· Exceptional listening and customer service skills;
· Proficient at using computers and the required applications;
· Numerical and trade maths confident;
· Articulate, personable and friendly;
· Ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese is essential.

The role is located in their head office in Sydney, NSW.
