<strong>ROLE</strong>
My client, Australia’s Leading Asian Food and Grocery importer, exporter &amp; distributer, is seeking a Sales Manager to lead their sales team.

<strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>:
Primary responsibilities include:

<strong>Business Development &amp; Strategy</strong>
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Drive sales by developing strategic direction, long &amp; short term objectives for your accounts;
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Develop new business by identifying opportunities with existing accounts and seeking new accounts venturing into untapped&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; market segments;
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Analyse and monitor competitor activities as well as product, market and industry trends to ensure the company is maintaining a competitive edge;

<strong>Sales Forecast &amp; Planning</strong>
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Prepare &amp; monitor budgets, liaise with buyers and analyse sales statistics to forecast sales targets and consumer trends;
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Monthly sales reporting on revenue and margin performance;
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Regular communication of progress and reporting sales performance to the National Sales Manager;

<strong>Account/ CRM</strong>
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Support and closely manage relationships with key customer accounts and build relationships based on reliability, friendship and customer service;
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Develop strong partnership with both Progressive and Foodstuff store operations to maximise volume sales pull through;
Manage aspects of major accounts as category reviews/ development, new line presentation, promotional planning, increase shelf share etc.

<strong>Marketing &amp; Promotions</strong>
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Develop &amp; implement annual sales &amp; marketing strategies and programs (eg. Woolworths, Bidvest, PFD), promotional activities and material to drive sales volume;
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Represent the company in trade events, promotional events &amp; activities.

<strong>REQUIREMENTS</strong>
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Minimum 7 years sales experience in the food industry, with 3 years in a managerial role;
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Excellent verbal &amp; written communication, negotiation, time management and organisational skills;
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Effective problem solving skills with the capability of developing solutions to increase efficiency &amp; improve service delivery to customers;
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Experience in working with buyers at a corporate level and have the flexibility to relate to SME's;
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Strong people management and effective leadership skills;
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Exceptional listening and customer service skills;
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Proficient at using computers and the required applications;
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Numerical and trade maths confident;
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Articulate, personable and friendly;
·&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese is essential.
<strong>LOCATION</strong>
The role is located in their head office in Sydney, NSW.
