The 103 and 804 subclasses are permanently closed to new applications (repealed) on Monday 2 June 2014. Applications not received before 2nd June 2014 will not be valid and will be returned.
All applications made prior to the change will continue to be queued and processed in accordance with existing legislation, policy and Processing Direction.
As we are currently receiving extremely high numbers of applications announcement please do not ask for confirmation that we have received your application. If it was sent registered mail, express mail or by courier you will have tracking details to use to confirm that the package has been delivered and on which date it was received. We appreciate that applicants will be very anxious to confirm the validity of their application, however the volume of mail is such that it is not possible to check for every enquirier.
All valid applications will be receipted in due course and a receipt sent by email. All invalid applications will be returned. Due to the high volume of mail it may be up to a month before you hear from us. We will endeavour to contact you as soon as we can.

We have a backlog of 6 months for applications waiting for acknowledgment letters, we now have a task force in place so this time will gradually reduce. Currently we are sending out letters for applications lodged on 30 January 2014.
