Applicants seeking State sponsorship must in the first instance apply to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) through SkillSelect - Expression of Interest process at www.SkillSelect.gov.au. Once you have been allocated an EOI reference number apply to Skilled Migration Western Australia (SMWA) for sponsorship. Although the online application is available, this office will not process any applications until the new criteria has been approved and implemented. For further information and updates please go to the SMWA website at www.migration.wa.gov.au.

Monthly review of the Western Australian skilled migration occupation list
5 July 2012
The Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD) has conducted its monthly review of the Western Australian skilled migration occupation list.
From 1 July 2012:
• the occupation of Office Manager is closed;
• the occupation of Retail Pharmacist remains closed; and
• off-list nominations remain unavailable.
*Please note DTWD reviews availability of occupations on a monthly basis. If an occupation becomes available this will take place on the first working day of each month from 12.00pm WST.
