[As one result of internationalization and migration, some cultures are facing the extinction including some minor languages. Whilst someone does not take serious by arguing that this change makes their lives easier. In my opinion this planet remain colorful just because the diversity of cultures, so it is important to protect these cultural wealth.-原来的]
As one of the many significant consequences of globalization, some minor cultures, featured by their unique languages, are confronted with the immediate danger of extinction. Many people are indifferent about this peril, because they believe a reduced language variety on this planet would be helpful in facilitating our international communication. However, I feel obliged to claim that the cultural diversity is an important intangible wealth for all mankind, which has to be saved and maintained for the future generations.[-YUEXMA修改]
Admittedly, assimilation in cultures makes international communication easier than before. There surely are some handicaps between people from different cultures when they are communicating, especially in the languages. For instance when people are travelling overseas, they will be frightened and feel helpless if you totally cannot understand what the local speaks. Whilst if everyone in this planet spoke English, there would not be any problem for tourist to understand the locals.

However, in my point of view, the cultures facing extinction should be protected. Although the respects mentioned above are disturbing us, it is indeed very important for the human beings to preserve these precious culture resources. By doing this, it is possible for the future generation to be able to learn cultures face to face, instead of learning it from history books. In addition to this, the information can be translated by body language. In fact, it is common for people now that they communicate with foreigner assisted by such sign. Another important point is that this world needs to keep the diversity. It is the diversity that makes the world so different and so wonderful. Try to image, if anything in this world were totally the same, for example all cars are no different or all the clothes are in same color and style, the world would become definitely tedious.

In conclusion, extinction of some languages may bring convenience in our lives, while it is indeed necessary to preserve these languages for the world needs to maintain its culture diversity. Besides, the handicaps caused by different languages are able to be overcome by certain measures.
