Before you make a decision about your nominated occupation you should note that Engineering Manager is a high level executive position which involves strategic policy and planning decisions for an organisation. Refer pages 4 and 46-47 of the attached booklet. You need at least three years experience at this level.
Also note that Engineering Manager is not an engineering occupation. It is a management occupation and has a different set of competency elements.
For assessment as an Engineering Manager you would need to submit a Competency Demonstration Report with Career Episodes that describe your management experience (not engineering). Letters of reference clearly indicating a senior management/executive role would need to be provided. Organisational charts are also required. These charts would need to show that persons who report to you also have a management function.
