题目：Sports are very popular in today's society. Some people believe, "Winning is the only thing." Others believe, “It’s not whether you win or lose, but how you play the game."What is your opinion?

From common exercises to world level competition, sports activities have been an indispensable part for society. Some people argue that the end result is superior to the process; while others claim that the process enjoyed during sports is the most meaningful. In terms of the argument, in my stance, both of them are equally important, which means end result and process are same meaningful to the sports activity.

To begin with, no matter the end result good or not, the purpose of process, could bring sportsman benefits. At first, good end result could bring honor to them. The advantage is obvious, it could motivate the sportsman strict and discipline with them to practice over and over to achieve next glories goal, for an instance, the champion is always keeping as champion, talent and training conditions asides, it is cannot denied that the self-motivation plays an immeasurable role. Besides this, for some professional athletes could earn prize money base on the gold, silver or bronze they got. This also could meet the athletes’ economic need and give them incentive to practice harder. In addition, even though the end result is not satisfactory, it could bring sportsman a number of valuable experiences to analysis as well. As it is comment that people always immerse in the joy of victory and forgot to sum up themselves in the competition.

However, without the process, sportsman cannot reach the final goal. Good process, just like reassurance, better for enhancing the confidence of athletes step by step. Actually, during the sports competition, if the sportsman can play to their potential and do the process rightly, the end result would take care of itself. On the other hand, although bad process is the barrier of the good end result, but from the details of process, useful lessons could be leant. Just like, nobody can build a skyscraper without solid foundation, without temping again and again, good goal cannot arrive easily.

To sum up, it is true that end result is important and significant to sportsman, but without the process, the foundation, good result cannot come up. Therefore, end result and process are located in same important level in sports activity.

For instance, the champion would never want others win the next one, therefore, it is cannot denied that the huge self-motivation is plays an immeasurable role based on this situation. Besides, for some professional athletes could earn prize money according to the gold, silver or bronze medal they got. This also could meet the athletes’ economic needs and give them incentive to practice harder.

Meanwhile, no matter what the end result is, it could also bring sportsman a number of valuable experiences. People can learn their own lessons during the process, such as, how to cooperative better or how to improve personal relationship amongst all team members. How wonderful if all members belong to the team is become to the best friends. It is another benefit from process.

In addition, sportsman cannot reach the final goal without the wonderful process. Excellent process, like reassurance, better enhance the confidence of athletes step by step. Actually, during the sports competition, the end result would take care of itself if the sportsman can play to their potential and act the process rightly. On the other hand, although bad process is the barrier of the good end result, but analysis the details during process, useful lessons always could be leant and finally can achieve the goal. It is well-known that tennis team of China failed 5 times in international competition, but they won the 6th via keep fix the gaps they made in last 5 games.

To sum up, it is true that end result is important and significant to sportsman, but the process is also a key factor. Therefore, good ending and wonderful process are located in same position in sports activity.

You have had an accident and are in hospital. Write a letter to your college administration explaining why you will be absent from class for the next month. Ask for advice about how to continue your studies during this period.

Dear Mr. Wang,

I am writing this letter to inform you that I cannot go to school next month because I am under treatment now. I would like to apply a temporary leave of absence.

You may not be aware of that I had a car accident last Friday, and it is the reason why I am stuck in the hospital instead of go to the school today. Fortunately, I am writing this letter to you as my life was not threatened. But instead, my left leg was broken. What I know is a surgery is waiting for me. "The operation was arranged for the following Monday," Said by Dr. Zhang who is my doctor. "You need to stay here for extra thirty days after the operation due to further treatments."

I realise that this will delay my study progress, but very much hope that, given the circumstance, you would be prepared to allow me to take a whole month off. Meanwhile, I have no idea about how to catch up my lessons. Could you please give me some advices to take good advantage of this period of time in order to continue my studies in hospital?
