Position Responsibilities
Prepare and present accurate and timely taxation returns, financial statements and workpapers, identifying taxation and accounting issues and highlighting them to senior staff and clients;
- Preparation of individual, partnership, corporate and trust tax returns.
- Preparation and presentation of financial accounts and tax returns.
- Preparation of Business Activity Statements.
- Preparation of workpapers to a quality standard set by BSA.
- Utilising research techniques to advise clients.
- Work with other team members to answer technical taxation questions.
- Preparation of documents for lodgement at ASIC.
- Being a key point of contact for clients.
- Assisting senior staff with small to medium family group business and tax planning.
- Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office and other key governing bodies.
Desired Skills and Experience
An opportunity exists for the right person to join our Firm in providing excellent business services to our diverse client base;
- Immediate start for the right person with 1 - 2 years experience in Business Services and ready to start or started CA / CPA

Specific skills required are:
- 1-2 years experience in SME business services
- Background in taxation and accounting.
- Experience using various accounting systems such as Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks.
- Experience using BGL's Corporate Affairs System.
- Effective communication skills - written and oral.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Adaptability, flexibility and initiative
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Products
- Being able to work autonomously on delegated tasks
