Dear XXXXXX,
I have included below the conditions attached to your 475 visa, on a 475 visa, you are only able to work in "regional" areas of Australia as defined on the DIAC website (www.immi.gov.au). As a result, you cannot live and work in Sydney on this visa. For further information about your 475 visa conditions or 887 eligibility criteria, please contact DIAC directly as DIAC make all visa decisions.
As a South Australian state sponsored visa holder, you are expected to live in South Australia for two years from date of arrival or date of visa grant if you are onshore. You cannot fulfil this 2 year requirement at a later date.
You signed a declaration in the course of your sponsorship application committing to migrating to and living in South Australia for at least two years. State Government Sponsorship is provided to meet skills needs in our State and the expectation is that successful applicants will bring their skills to South Australia. It is on this basis that Sponsorship approval is granted thereby facilitating visa grant by the Commonwealth Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC). Without this sponsorship you would not have been granted a visa.
As per DIAC website: http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/g ... tions-applicant.htm
Main Applicant and Secondary Applicant Obligations You and any accompanying secondary applicants must comply with all Australian laws as temporary residents.

See: Specified Regional Areas
Note: The main applicant can study while they hold this visa, however they are expected to be looking for, and engaging in, full time work. Any study should be incidental to full time work.

• your visa, and the visas of any accompanying secondary applicants, may be cancelled
• you will not be in a position to apply for another Skilled - Regional Sponsored (Provisional) visa
• you will not be in a position to apply for permanent residence.
Before lodging an application, please read all related obligation requirements.
Regards,
Manager, General Skilled Migration
