8月25日，首位华人诺贝尔奖得主李政道先生的追思会在上海举行，长子李中清在现场追忆父亲生前往事，遵循李政道先生的遗愿落叶归根，与亡妻在家乡合葬。
  李中清表示李政道最后几个月仍有旺盛的生命力和勤力思考，直至生命尽头仍在别人的帮助下克服阻力走一段小距离，最后3天卧床不起但还能说话和思考，反复说到多么爱自己的孩子以及与亡妻合葬的愿望。 Advertisements  李政道先生的追思会在上海交通大学举办，现场来了很多师生，但多家官媒都没有提及杨振宁先生的名字。换而言之，杨先生并没有出席追思会。  Advertisements 8月24日，何祚庥院士夫妇在视频中表示，杨振宁先生之所以没有回应，是根本不知道李政道离世，他正在医院疗养，与人交流很困难了，身边人只能通过写字传递消息，为了不影响杨先生的情绪，翁帆没有告知李政道离世的消息。  何祚庥院士夫妇认为，这是对杨振宁先生的一种保护，避免他受到刺激，同时表示杨李之间的恩怨并非仇人，只是吵架后不再说话而已。 Advertisements 据了解，杨振宁已罕少公开露面，去年荣获港大博士学位后录视频致谢。  翁帆不仅是杨振宁先生的妻子，也担任其生活助理的角色，所以她最清楚杨先生的身体状况，有传杨先生先后得了3场大病，有一次高烧40度，在此危难之际，是翁帆在身边照顾。杨先生虽然是物理学家，却有点讳疾忌医，感冒发烧都是硬扛着，所以他常说翁帆是上天赐予他的天使，要不是翁帆，杨教授不可能如此健康长寿。 Advertisements  杨振宁和李政道的矛盾一直广为流传，两人上世纪50年代在美国工作和学习，在吴大猷的引荐下认识，成为邻居和同事，更是生活中的密友，一起发表了多篇著作，并获得诺贝尔奖。  Advertisements 有传两人当年因署名问题发生矛盾，杨先生认为应该以年纪排序，不过也有书籍指二人因理论问题分道扬镳。  对于这个问题，杨振宁曾在采访中表示，这段历史是可以搞清楚的，整个事情不是说拉拉手就可以忘掉的，拉拉手解决问题不是他的个性所能容忍的，与李政道决裂是他人生中的悲剧。  其中对错，不是咱一个普通人可以评价的，只能说天才都是孤独的，但相信如果杨先生知道李先生离世，必定会有所回应。斯人已逝，也祝他身体健康。  Advertisements
