试用下来,来向TX们汇报一下。
Both EF and Global English have 24 hours on-line course. Their content for reading, writing and listening is similar.
As for speaking, I feel GE is better in respect of student numbers in each class, teacher's qualification and the student level. For example, the GE class I attended has only 3 students, while it varied from 6 to 12 in EF's classes. Although I do agree that one teacher I met in EF's class was really great, the rest is just so so. Furthermore, I don't prefer the classmates in EF, because a lot of them in fact don't match the upermedia level. I cannot help doubting if EF provides different class for different level student. Talking with and listening to a classmate who can hardly speak fluent English were painful.
However GE has limitation for the hours you spend on live classes, only one class (one topic/ one hour) per week, which means you have less chance to practice. EF does good in this factor, with topics renewed everyday, and you can attend the live class whenerver you want.
In technological area, I believe, GE's system is more reliable and stable, as I didn't encouter any serious problem so far. But it's true that EF's website layout looks more fashion, and sort of userfriendly.
Anyway, I've cancelled my try with EF course, and will continue the GE course.
