是的，我也觉得虽然要花点时间在列提纲上，但它大大缩短了写作时间，而且首先确定了思路还能帮助做到首尾呼应。

我弄了本朗文现代字典，下班后就查《十天》上那些“热词”还有Economist上留下的生词，记录在小本子上，来回公交车上反复看。我觉得这个效果不错。吃饭的时候看ICS的节目，给自己营造一个英文环境。我相信大家都会实现自己的梦想的。加油！！

The twenty-fourth essay

University students are more focus on specialistic subjects in nowadays. Some people think universities should encourage students to study at a range of subjects in addition to special area. Do you agree?

Answer:

In this day and age, as undergraduates are attaching importance to their professional major
, some people start to argue that students should be encouraged to study diverse subjects but particular ones. In my view, even though studying diverse subjects seems like to bring
some benefits for students but national development need more experts. Because of that, I disagree.

First and foremost, put students to study professionally is a main approach to allow a nation to cultivate experts. Undoubtedly, undergraduates will acquire professional knowledge effectively from their specialised education during school time. Subsequently, after they graduate, they will rapidly adjust themselves to the career related their majors ,and they are gradually becoming professional experts via accumulating work experience. At the meantime, the experts for various area have been on great demands by the national development.

By contrast, graduates could be same and ordinary if they study diverse subjects at universities. Every subject is equally important in undergraduates' school days. As a consequence, there are might no students excellent to a profession because they have no enough time and concentration to master a subject. It is terrible that a nation has same people and no expert to developing.

However, graduates study diverse subjects properly would make them versatile. Those subjects will expand their outlook and endue them with well-rounded knowledge. Furthermore, they will adapt quickly to various occupational areas. But, it might be a sort of waste as no one can do different jobs at the same time.

Summarily, in my opinion, because the reasons I mentioned above,I disagree with that students should be encourage to study diverse subjects instead of profession.

是的，我以前也听说过临考前要营造英文环境，还有用英文思考问题，要是和别人说话当然得用中文，但英文在脑子里过一遍。

Nowadays, some organizations and charities publicize their activities by introducing special days every year like National Children's Day and Non-smoking Day. Why do they introduce special days and what effects does this have?

Answer:

Currently, as human societies are developing rapidly on various areas, some negative phenomena have occurred. Therefore, some organizations and charities start to disseminate their special days such as National Children's Day, Non-smoking Day, No Car Day and so forth.

Undoubtedly, The sake of The special days introduced by organizations and charities is to correct negative social behavior. For instance, introducing National Children's Day as well as Women's day is in order to reduce the phenomena of abusing children and women. Likewise, every people knows that smoking can harm human health not only smokers but also persons around them, for improving, Non-smoking Day advocate that there are no people smoke at that day. Additionally, "In town, without my car" that was been claim by some french youngsters. Subsequently, No Car Day was been found for the benefit of making the cities disturbed by cars revert to quiet and reducing poisonous gas charged by vehicles.

However, the effects which institutions expected via special days are always limited. More precisely, those might just have positive effects on special days. Because those are not compulsive policies and just take effect by public consciousness and public opinion. For instance, ones smoke on Non-smoking Day that could condemned by othe people, but if them disregard other's condemnation and continue to smoke, so public have no rights to deter their behaviour but continue to condemn. Similarly, There are maybe less car running on No Car Day, but the count of autos will return to normal at the next day. Nonetheless, it is important that to boost public awareness of correcting these negative societal behaviour.

Summarily, In my opinion, organization and charities introduce the special days in order to correct negative social hevaviour. While the effects are limited, but those special day always play an important role in public awareness increasing.

写了篇大学教育的，楼主昨天的命题。写之前查阅了一下economist，收集了些素材，有些句子自己也无甚把握，望指正
eg.1 in order for more people to benefit from the education, be it completing higher education 这里的be it completing...是什么个用法？
eg.2 those who are willing to persuade a post graduate studies or start career in academia for which wild range of knowledge might be an asset. 这里的for which可不可以这样用？

题目：

正文：
For a subject arouses such strong passions, "university education" is always difficult to pin down. For students' perspective, embarking on collage study for several years would be worth if the market rewards the skills they learnt. Thus, I am in favour of that a more specialized course schedule indeed benefits graduate's professional career.

The concept sounds simple enough: a more market-oriented higher education system can do much better than state-dominated model. The high premium to skilled labour results from the higher education not providing enough skilled labour to keep up with the demand technology created. That may explain why many technical undergraduate courses have been compressed from four years to three years such as engineering and informatics. Actually, spending time and efforts on a range of subjects is not really advantageous, back to thirty years ago, Wall Street firms realized that some physicists could work out differential equations and recruited them to become analysts and traders.

Admittedly, a wild range of subjects can also bring merits to some of the degree followers. For example, being an architect the related knowledge of history and a sensitive sense in arts are definitely helpful; and it would be hard to believe that an economist had no idea about industries and politics. Further, those who are willing to pursuit post-graduate studies or start career in academia for which wild range of knowledge might be an asset.

To sum up, in order for more people to benefit from the education, be it completing higher education, universities need to focus on providing specialistic subjects and supply the skills the market rewards.
