In the past, most people usually lived and worked in a place, and there was a belief that a stable living place is an indispensable part of raising a family. Now things are very different, most people choose to rent a house rather than buy one. As to the advantages and disadvantages of renting a house, opinions vary from person to person.
The primary advantage of renting a house is, of course, economical. As we know, nowadays with the rapid urbanization process, an increasing number of people choose to live in big cities. As a result, the price of houses in cities is soaring, and most people cannot afford to buy even a small flat. Compared with buying a house, renting one not only can save a large amount of money for people, but also provide people with an equal quality of accommodation, which means people would left with more money for improving their living standard or getting more education. Further, renting a house in more convenient than buying a house, since if we buy a house we need to spend a great deal of time decorating and furnishing the rooms. Finally, some people do not like to get stuck in a place for a life-long time. For them, renting a house is obvious a wiser option.
However, advantages usually go hand in hand with disadvantages. Firstly, statistics show that people who rent a house may not have a sense of belonging, which is the crucial part of happiness. Secondly, some landlords for the sake of pursuing maximum profits, they may rise the rental at any time, which means tenants will be kicked out if they do not pay more money. Thirdly, but not lastly, there are worries about that the social order is becoming worse because of the increase of floating people.
In conclusion, both sides are supported by sound reasons. An in all, it would be sensible to suggest to that people should make a choice according to their preference and personal circumstance.
