Universities should accept equal numbers of male and female students in every subject.
For what extent do you agree or disagree.
Nowadays, there are a large number of universities in the world and it is ever increasing. High school graduates have great opportunities to enter a university for continuous study in various subjects. It is disagreed that universities should take in the same number of male and female student in each subject. Analyzing the natural ability as well as the interests will show the view.
Firstly, the difference of natural talent that males and females have is the major factor for studying a subject in university. For example, male students are more likely stronger in mechanical subject, whereas girls are better in language studying. This natural ability, is always exists no matter whether you believe, cannot be simply neglected by the universities. On the contrary, they should take this into consideration when they recruit new pupils.
Secondly, the individual’s interest will decide the distribution of males and females students in the subjects, such as in math, music or biology and so forth. The decision should be given them to choose what they like. Therefore, they could feel more joyful and will acquire more knowledge. In a result, they would be successful in studying and benefit to his/her career in the future. In the contrast, disregard their interests would bring negative impact, and could lead to skip school or even quit. From this it becomes quite evident that it is not be a thoughtful idea of bring same number males and females students to university.
In summary, university should consider males and females’ natural talent and individual’s interest as the goal of recruitment. Simply take the number as the criteria would bring bad consequences to youngsters. Thus it is clear why this point cannot be supported.
