8. More and more women go out to work. Is it the government’s responsibility to subsidize them and provide free staff and facilities to care for their children? To what extent do you agree or disagree to this idea?
Most modern women have access to good education and are independent in thought and action. So, today it is not surprise for us to see that more and more women leave their children at home and work outside. In terms of childcare, some people believe that it is the government’s responsibility. In my opinion, company and individuals should never shirk their duty.
Undoubtedly, government has the obligation to support working women by subsidizing them and providing free staff and facilities to care for their children. The main reason for this view is that all people have paid tax to our country legally, so they are entitled to enjoy the corresponding welfare. In addition, there are many people in our society who can not afford childcare services. Only when government pays for the costs can they have the chance the go out to work. However, this view seems to fail to take into account the fact that the investments in childcare are so huge, it is impossible for government to burden it.
In light of the above factors, I would assert that company and individuals have equal responsibility to address this problem. For the company, I take it for granted that they should never shuffle the duty. This is because working women devote themselves to work which creating good economic benefits for the company. Despite the help of government and company, individuals also have to save money for children’s childcare. For one thing, based on the rule of” pay for gain”, they should pay the bills by themselves. For another, family with women working outside can earn more money than those without one. Thus they should pay a percentage of their wage for childcare costs.
In conclusion, I think government, company and individuals should assume the responsibility all together. With the joint efforts of these three, women dare to go out to work without hesitation.
